Don W. Langley

Decatur ~ Don W. Langley, 78, went to be with our Lord Monday, January 10, 2022.

Funeral is 2:30 p.m. Friday, January 14, 2022 at Immanuel Baptist Church in Decatur with burial at Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Louis Horton will officiate. Pallbearers include Ron Byrd, Matthew Byrd, Seth Byrd, DW Langley, and Harrison Wood.

Don was born March 17, 1943 to Robert Ferris and Marie (Akins) Langley in Louisville, Kentucky. He was united in marriage July 7, 1964 to Janet Ellen Clouse in Dawson Springs, Kentucky. Don was retired from sales in the oilfield industry after many years. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Langley and Marie Wallace; his daughter, Roberta Douglas, his sister, Beverly Renfro, and a granddaughter, Katherine Douglas.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Janet Langley of Decatur; his daughters, Rebecca Byrd  and husband Charles of Decatur, and Marie Wood and husband Greg of Bridgeport; his son, Don Langley, Jr. and wife April of Phoenix, Arizona; 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard Langley and wife Deitra; numerous extended family members, and a host of friends.
