Chico ~ Donald Joseph Cantero, 83, went to be with our Lord Sunday, March 2, 2025 in Chico.
Graveside Service is 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 6th, at Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery in Colleyville.
Donald was born on July 30, 1941 to Victor and Frances Maye (Bouldin) Cantero in Watsonville, California. He was united in marriage to Trudye Amelia Latasa on October 6, 1966 in Wichita Falls and they were together for 59 beautiful years. Donald was a jack of all trades but his true passion was being a rancher in Oklahoma for 14 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Knights Templar, and Scottish Rite. Donald proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and a friend to many that will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Frances Cantero; his granddaughter, Callie Cantero; his brothers, Gary Reynolds, Mike Reynolds, Bill Cantero, and Frank Cantero.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 59 years, Trudye Cantero; his children, Caitlyn Reagor and husband Nick (Jack), Donnie Cantero and wife Cathy and Donna Cantero-Corn and husband Mark; his grandchildren, Madisen Taylor and husband Zach (Lincoln and Kinsleigh), Taelure Cox and husband Keith (Rhaelynn), and Joey Cantero (Emmy); his sister, Venita Jones; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
