Donal J.H. Neighbors

Funeral service is 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 8th at Eagle Drive Baptist Church with Reverends David Isbell and Don Spain officiating. Burial will follow service in Bethel Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include Kenny Bryan, Melton Neighbors, Pat Garrett, Marion Yale, Jimmy Gillum and Jordan Johnston.

Donal was born December 1, 1921 to William Elbert and Bessie Eunice Bowden Neighbors in Decatur, Texas. He married Marie Doyle on June 18, 1945 in Decatur. Donal was a retired dairyman and farmer. He served in the United States Air Force during World War II and he was a member of Eagle Baptist Church.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 64 years, Marie Neighbors of Decatur; son, Jerry Neighbors and wife, Janie of Valley View; three grandchildren, Tamara Blythe of Decatur, Heather Whited and Andrew Neighbors both of Valley View; five great grandchildren, Layni, Zane, Colton, Coy, Chaynie; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Donal is preceded in death by his parents, son, James Wayne Neighbors, and brother, Lester Neighbors.
