Boyd ~ Donald Alan Dixon, 67, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, June 28, 2022 in Dallas.
Donald was born on May 12, 1955 to Robert Victor and Virginia (Trueblood) Dixon in Bloomington, Indiana. He was a beloved son, brother, and uncle. Don’s vocation was fine woodworking and he was a self-employed contractor that did hundreds of high-quality craftsmanship projects. He was very proud of his numerous trips to Del Rio to help transport clothes, toys, and household items to the Cristo El Salvador Church that was needed for families and individuals on both sides of the US-Mexican border. Don was also a devout Christian who was willing to share his religious beliefs to those he thought would understand. And, of course, he loved his dogs: the late Bella and Lucky as well as Faith, Noobie and Amore.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Dixon and his nephews, Troy and Bret Dixon.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his mother, Virginia Dixon of Nashville, Indiana; his sister, Deborah Harding and husband Edward of Ellettsville, Indiana; his brother, Tom Dixon and wife Mary Biagini of Grand Junction, Colorado; his nephews, Conner and Ty Dixon, Jason Dewey, and Matthew Dewey and wife Lisa; his niece, Melissa Tague; his step-daughter, Emily Floyd of Fort Worth; other relatives and a host of friends.
A memorial will be held at a later date.
