Donald Howard Jernigan

Decatur ~ Donald Jernigan, 85, went to be with our Lord Saturday, June 10, 2023.

Celebration of Life is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Decatur. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Donald McMaster will officiate.

Donald was born May 19, 1938 to Aubrey L. and Bessie Mae (Stanley) Jernigan in Haltom City, Texas. He was united in marriage July 11, 1977 to Beverly Ann Greer in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Donald was a retired welder after many years with Imperial Fabricating. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey and Bessie Jernigan; brothers, Corky and Dub Jernigan; and a sister, Nell Martin.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Beverly Jernigan of Decatur; his sons, Hoss Hudson of Decatur, and Michael “Buba” Hudson and wife Stacie of Decatur; his daughters, Bobbie Jean Norris and husband Terry of Mansfield, and Sandra Kay McMaster and husband Donald of Decatur; granddaughters, Ashlee Hudson and boyfriend Ridge Burden, and Madison and Blake Shively; grandsons, Mason Hudson and fiancée, Alli Rodriquez, Eric Hudson, Cameron and Elijah Norris, Rusty McMaster and wife Krystal, and Colton “Coltman” McMaster; great-grandchildren, Kole Shively, Kinlee McMaster; and a host of friends.
