BOYD -- Donald Lee Lenschow, 68, a retired machinist, went to be with our Lord on Friday, April 30, 2010, in Boyd.
Local visitation: 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday at Salem Lutheran Church in Sycamore, Illinois. Burial: Elmwood Cemetery, Sycamore, Illinois. Visitation: 6-8 p.m Friday at Olson's Funeral Home in Sycamore.
Dr. Janet Hunt to officiate.
Don was born on Aug. 14, 1941, to Walter and Ella Lenschow in Sycamore, Illinois. He married Kay Ayers-Springer on March 3, 1985 in Boyd, Texas. Don served his country in the U.S. Army, was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Sycamore, the Austin Healey Club of America, past president of Wise County Antique Auto Club, the Austin Healey Club USA, the Fort Worth Magic Club, and the North Texas Austin Healey Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Robert Lenschow.
Left behind to cherish his memory: wife Kay Lenschow of Boyd; children: Lisa Warren and husband, Brad of Paradise, William Lenschow of Paradise, and Chris Springer and wife Brenda of Burleson, Daffney Eckmann and husband Peter of Leander, Texas; grandchildren: Blaine Springer, Madison Eckmann, Allyson Felps; sister, Marlyn Burkart; brother, William Lenschow and wife, Kathy; sister-in-law, Jan Lenschow.
