Donald R. Martin, Jr.

Boyd -Donald R. Martin, Jr.,79 went to be with our Lord Wednesday May 1, 2024 in Decatur, Texas.

A memorial service will be held  6-8 PM Friday May 10, 2024 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.  Graveside service will be 10 AM, Monday May 13, 2024 at Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery in Colleyville, Texas.

He was born September 28, 1944 in Dallas, Texas to Donald R. and Madell (Fennell) Martin. After graduating from L D Bell High School in Hurst, Texas. He attended college at Ranger College. He proudly served in the US Marines. Donald worked for Raytheon Manufacturing as an engineer, there he retired after 33 years. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and a friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Madell Martin; and a son, Danny Ray Martin, and Brother Mickey Martin.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his son, Michael Don Martin and wife Chandra of Joshua; 2 grandchildren, Isabella Martin and Christopher Magimel; and 4 great- great grandchildren; brother, Jerry Martin of Colleyville and a sister, Vicky Courtney of N. Richland Hills; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
