Bridgeport ~ Donald Eugene Silver, 88, a retired hotel manager, went to be with our Lord Saturday, February 2, 2013 in Bridgeport.
Graveside service is 9:15 a.m. Thursday, February 7, 2013 at DFW National Cemetery in Grand Prairie. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hawkins Funeral Home.
Rev. David Rucker will officiate.
Donald was born on April 21, 1924 to Leverse and Margret (Green) Silver, in Loveland, Colorado. He served his country in the United States Navy. Donald was united in marriage to Virginia Larson on February 25, 1996 in Denver, Colorado. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Lions Club.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Virginia Silver of Bridgeport; his daughters, Elaine Sublett of San Angelo, Linda Saylor and husband Tommy of Bridgeport; his grandsons, Michael Saylor of Loveland, Colorado and Gene Huggins of Hurst; his nephew, Dale Aagensen of Yuma, Colorado; other family members and a host of friends.
