Decatur ~ Donna “Momma Bigley” Lee Carper Bigley, 69, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, March 26, 2014 in Decatur.
Funeral is 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2014 at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Bishop Richard Gillespie will officiate. Pallbearers include Gary Bigley, Babe Bigley, T.M. Bigley, Frank Carper, John Carper, and Tino Pequeno.
Donna Lee was born on August 14, 1944 to Woodrow Wilson “Willie” and Betty (Owen) Carper in McLean, Virginia. She was a mom or Gee Gee to everyone, loved animals, and was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Encee Owen and Gary Wayne Carper; her son, Shelly Bigley; and her son-in-law, Stephen Blaylock.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Johnny Lee Carper and wife Lisa of Fayetteville, Arkansas, her daughter, Callie Jo Hartsock and husband Randy of Decatur, her son, Frankie Lynn Carper and wife Laura of Sterling, Virginia, her son, T.M. Bigley and wife Rhonda of Cleburne, her daughter, Laura Lee Blaylock of Decatur, her son, Babe Bigley and wife Jennifer of Aubrey, her son, Gary Andrew Bigley and wife Sara of Aubrey, her daughter, Beth Jackson and husband Billy of Decatur; 29 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; other family members and a host of friends.
