Donna Gay Fippinger

Bridgeport~ Donna Gay (Swain) Fippinger, 70, went to be with our Lord on Friday, September 2nd, 2022 in College Station, Texas.

Funeral Service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Grace Fellowship Church in Paradise with burial in Thomas Cemetery in Bridgeport to follow. Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Chuck Ballard will officiate.

Pallbearers will include, Bryce Powers, Blake Sutherland, Christian Hand, Joshua Cheek, Micah Cheek, and Zechariah Cheek.

Donna was born on September 13, 1951 to Edward and Mary Imogene (Nation) Swain in Tampa, Florida. She was a homemaker who devoted herself to raising her kids with love, supporting her family, and helping others when they had a need. Donna was united in marriage to the love of her life, Donald Fippinger on March 6, 1971 in Aldine, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Jean Swain; her father-in-law, Gerald Fippinger; her sisters-in-law, Barbara Sitton and Gillene Swain.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 51 years, Donald Fippinger; her five children, Jeannine Powers and husband, Alan, JoAnn Cheek and husband, Emory, Julie Hurtle and husband, Steve,  Janet Sutherland and husband, Duane, and Jonathan Fippinger and wife Adreane; her 21 grandchildren, Bryce and wife Alanna, Beka and fiancé Christian, Aubrey, Bethany and Sadie Powers, Hadassah, Karyssah, Joshua, Micah, Zechariah, Elisha, Taliah and Lydiah Cheek, Eleanor, Henry, Lucy, and Patricia Lynn Hurtle, Blake and Maryssa Sutherland, and Addison, and Olivia Fippinger; her great-granddaughter, Emelia Powers-Brown; her mother-in-law, Phyllis Fippinger; her brothers, Ed Swain and Bill Swain and wife, Janice; her brothers-in-law, Bruce Fippinger and wife Carol, and Dale Fippinger and wife Melissa; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and many close friends.
