Donna Ellen Hill

Bridgeport~ Donna Ellen Hill, 73, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 in Decatur.

Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 3rd, 2023 at Cates Street Church of Christ with burial to follow in East Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport.

Brother Scott Strother will officiate.

Donna was born on June 7, 1949 to Bill and Betty (Scott) Swindle in Cisco, Texas. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Richard Hill on October 21, 1967 in Breckenridge. Donna was a librarian aide for 25 years for Bridgeport I.S.D. and was also a homemaker. She was a member of the Cates Street Church of Christ and the Wise County Quilting Guild. Donna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who cherished her time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Betty Swindle; and her brother, Robert Swindle.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 55 years, Richard Hill of Bridgeport; her sons, Christopher Hill and Lisa Martin of Bridgeport, and Stephan and Melissa Hill of Bridgeport; her brothers, Bill Swindle of Seattle, Washington and Roy Swindle of Brownwood, Texas; her grandchildren, Abigail Hill of Denton and Ian Hill of Bridgeport; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
