Doris Ann (Strange) Edwards

Ft. Worth ~ Doris Ann Edwards, 87, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, March 22, 2022.

Graveside Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Alvord Cemetery.

Rev. Carol D. Sparks of First United Methodist Church, Alvord will officiate.

Doris was born September 27, 1934 to Fearrel and Barnetta (Pickett) Strange in Alvord, Texas. She was united in marriage June 3, 1959 to Clayton Edwards in Marietta, Oklahoma. Doris attended Alvord High School and went on to graduate from Cameron College. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Edwards; her son, Paul Edwards; and her brothers, Edwin Strange and Paul Strange.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Sam Edwards of Haltom City; her granddaughter, Staci (Edwards) Blood and husband Brandon of New York; and her brother, Gerald Strange of Bedford; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of friends.

Doris was passionate about raising awareness of ALS. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to I Am ALS or an ALS organization of your choice in her memory.
