Decatur ~ Doris Janelle Blase, 73, went to be with our Lord Monday, June 3, 2019 in Decatur.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2019 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel Decatur with burial in Aurora Cemetery in Aurora. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service at the funeral home.
Rev. David Blase and Matt Gage will officiate. Pallbearers include Luke Hodges, Coltin Watkins, Blake Knabe, Joshua Blase, Cole Hyun, and Isaiah Fuller.
Doris was born on April 16, 1946 to Leonard Earl and Opal Odena (Harwell) McKee in Decatur. She was united in marriage to Olin Curtis Blase on March 22, 1985 in Texarkana. Doris retired from General Dynamics as parts technician. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Decatur, was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, James McKee; her niece, Tracy McKee.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 34 years, Olin Blase of Decatur; her son, Curtis Blase and his wife formerly of Decatur; her nieces, Toni Hodges, Joni Watkins, Debbie Burkholder, and Melisa Rhodes; her grandchildren, Joshua Blase, and Kelsey Blase; her brother, Larry McKee and wife Vicki of Aurora; her sister in law, Evelyn McKee of Gainesville; numerous extended family, and a host of friends.
