CHICO -- Doris Jane Chilton, 65, retired employee of First National Bank, went to be with our Lord on Monday, March. 1, 2010, in Decatur.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Chico. Burial: Thomas Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday here at the funeral home.
Rev. Larry Potts will be officiating. Pallbearers: Kenneth Buckner, GA Buckner, Rusty Hand, Jim Hand, Scott Burgess, Dennis Lee.
Doris Jane Chilton was born October 24, 1944 the daughter of Verser Greer and Echo (Preskitt) Greer in Bridgeport. She married Johnny Chilton on June 14, 1963 in Chico. She was a retired employee of the First National Bank in Decatur.
Preceded in death by her parents, Verser and Echo. Those left behind to cherish her memory: Husband, of 41 years, Johnny Chilton; daughter: Delana and husband Keith of Graham, 2 grandsons Seth and Garrett Woods, 2 step-grandchildren: Aaron and Craig Barnett, sister; Janice King of North Richland Hills, nephew: Mark Taylor and niece Angie Chilton.
