Bridgeport ~ Doris Ruth Gardner, 71, went to be with our Lord Friday August 3, 2012 in Bridgeport.
Memorial service is 10 a.m. Saturday, August 11th at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport. Family will receive friends 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Doris was born on March 12, 1941 to Willard and Faye (Stewart) Howell in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was united in marriage to Bobby Jack Gardner on January 7, 1956 in Gainesville, Texas.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bobby Jack Gardner; her son, Ricky James Gardner; her daughter, Kimberly Ann Gardner; two grandchildren, Johnny and Kenny Suarez; her sisters, Sarah Dyson and Darla Howell.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Bobbie Ruth Gonzales and husband Al of Moultree, Georgia, Brenda Jean Howell of Bridgeport, Sandra Nell Hillary and husband Patrick of Decatur; her son, Billy Jack Gardner of Plano; four grandchildren, Wesley, Patrick Jr., Christopher and Michael; five great grandchildren; her sister, Mary Ellen Fuller of Terrell, Oklahoma; other family members and a host of friends.
