Decatur: Doris Green Puchalski, 84, a retired postmaster, went to be with our Lord, Tuesday, February 12, 2013 in Decatur.
Family will receive friends 1-3 p.m. Saturday, February 16th at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel.
Doris was born August 10, 1928 in Rensselaer, Indiana to Paul and Viola (Beaver) Green. She was united in marriage to Edward Puchalski on September 28, 1957 at North Judson, Indiana.
Doris retired for the U.S. Post Office in Denham, Indiana. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of American Legion, Fraternal Order of Eagles and the League of Postmasters.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 55 years, Edward Puchalski of Decatur; three daughters, Brenda McHenry of Corinth, Belinda Puchalski and Briget Puchalski both of Decatur; son, Brain Puchalski of Leakey, Texas; granddaughter, Cassaundra McHenry; two grandsons, Royce McHenry and Luke Puchalski; 2 sisters, Elsie Faye Summers and Dixie Green both of Rensselaer, Indiana; 2 brothers, Richard Green of Connecticut and Mike Green of California; other family members and a host of friends.
Doris is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Wanda Duggins and Margene Ogle; and brother, Marvin Green.
