Dorotha Louise (Thornton) Norman

Rhome ~ Dorotha Louise Norman, 92, a retired caregiver and homemaker, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, June 21, 2017 in Fort Worth.
Graveside service is 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 23, 2017 at Aurora Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.
Rev. Wendell Splawn and Rev. Jimmy Withers will officiate.
Dorotha was born December 10, 1924 to William and Trula (Richardson) Thornton in Lamesa, Texas. She was united in marriage to Beryl Anderson Norman. Dorotha was a member of Aurora Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Beryl Norman; her sisters, Ada Belle Rutherford Gaines and Ellen Russell; and her brothers, J.W. "Dub" Thornton, Duane "Skeeter" Thornton, Lewis Earl Thornton, and William Edgar Thornton.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Gary Norman of Rhome; her daughter Lisa Obermeier and husband Greg of Haslet; her granddaughter, Amy Bounds and husband Joe of Boyd; her great grandchildren, Mia Bounds and Reade Bounds; her sisters, Delores Coleman and husband Leon of Aurora, and Brunetta Burns of Springtown; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and a host of friends.
