Decatur ~ Dorothy Nell Pennartz, 78, a retired bookkeeper, went to be with our Lord Sunday, December 24, 2017 in Decatur.
Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 29, 2017 at Assumption of The Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Decatur with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur with Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
Father Thomas D'souza will officiate. Pallbearers include Christopher Pennartz, Wayne Pennartz, Scott Redder, Eric Redder, Richard Wilde, and Sean Carnahan.
Dorothy was born on January 10, 1939 to Albert and Irene (Berend) Pennartz in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was a member of Assumption of The Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Alice Wilde; her brother, Clarence Pennartz.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her brother, Julius Pennartz and wife Geneva of Rhineland; her sisters, Virginia Redder and husband Charles of Fort Worth, Ruth Redder and husband Herman of Rhineland, Ethel Pennartz of Decatur, Claudia Carnahan and husband Billy of Arlington; her sister-in-law, Lillian Pennartz of Decatur; numerous nieces and nephews.
