NEWARK -- Dorothy Lee Stewart, 78, a housewife, went home to be with our Lord on Friday, June 8, 2007 in Decatur, Texas.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Newark. Burial: Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery in Colleyville. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Monday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd. The Reverend Dan Hunt officiated. Pallbearers were Kim Stewart-Lee, Shelley Stewart, Jennifer Moon, Mathew Thompson, Shawnya Farris and Derek McKnight.
Dorothy was born November 28, 1928 to Charles and Alice Wilkerson Zimmerlee in Mountain View, Oklahoma. She married Jack Stewart July 3, 1945 in Baird, Texas. He preceded her in death. Dorothy attended the First Baptist Church in Newark.
She is survived by her daughters, Sandra West and husband Joseph of Bedford, Linda McKnight and husband Mike of Newark; her son, Jack Stewart, Jr. and wife Becky of San Angelo; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 2 sisters; several nieces and nephews.
