BRIDGEPORT -- Doug Romines, 72, a retired Natural Gas Pipeline Co. of America employee, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, July 29, 2007.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at Pleasant View Baptist Church. Burial: Thomas Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Officiants: Rev. James Arrington and Rev. B.J. Womack. Pallbearers: Jesse Loper, Tommy Romines, Tommy Raley, Paul Watson, Bruce Brassfield, Daniel Offutt, Heath Woodard, and Zac Outlaw.
Doug was born on November 15, 1934 in Oscar, Oklahoma to Luther and Mary Jane (Richardson) Romines. He married Nancy O'Dell on January 9, 1953 in Gainesville, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy in 2006, his brother, James Romines, and his sister, Mildred Faulkner.
Survivors: Son, Bart Romines and wife Wanda of Calera, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Brooke and Cody Romines; four great grandchildren; two brothers, Jack Watson and Laura of Chico, Joe Watson and wife Jo of Paradise; three sisters, Lillie Ransom and husband John of Decatur, Sue Caraway of Bridgeport, and Mary Edith Taylor of Decatur; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
