Lake Bridgeport ~ Douglas Robert DeLay, 57, a retired tow truck operator, went to be with our Lord Thursday, October 29, 2015 in Lake Bridgeport.
Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in West Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Rev. Jerry Galloway will officiate. Pallbearers include Rick Brune, Cody Martin, Joshua DeLay, Johnny Paddack, Bill Miles, and Jim Inman. Honorary pallbearer is Jesus Reyna.
Doug was born on June 29, 1958 to J.B. and Bobbie (Randal) DeLay in Fort Worth, Texas. He owned and operated DeLay Wrecker Service. Doug served in the Pennsylvania National Guard.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his mother, Bobbie Ashbaugh and husband Ron of Gilbert, Arizona; his father, J.B. DeLay and wife Cosette of Elk City, Oklahoma; his sisters, Patricia Ann DeLay and husband S.K. Koumounduri of Houston, Linda DeLay of Carbon Dale, Colorado; his brother, Darrell DeLay of Honduras; his nephews, Joshua DeLay, and Jeremy DeLay; his nieces, Jenna DeLay and Leila Navon; other family members and a host of friends.
