Decatur: Douglas Gerald Rollins, 72, a long-haul truck driver, went to be with our Lord, Saturday, February 23, 2013 in Decatur.
Memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mr. Rollins was born June 8, 1940 in Washington, D.C. to Wallace and Margaret (Simpson) Rollins. He was united in marriage to Rubye Lee Fluker on July 27, 1998 in Durant, Oklahoma. Mr. Rollins retired from Werner Enterprises as a long-haul truck driver. He was a private pilot and he loved raising registered Boer goats with Rubye at his Cottonwood Creek farm.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Rubye Rollins of Decatur; son, Douglas Rollins, Jr. of California, Maryland; daughter, Karen Cozzens of California, Maryland; two stepsons, David White of Greenville, South Carolina and Jeff White of Corsicana, Texas; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Rollins of Annapolis, Maryland and Wallace Rollins of Chattanooga, Tennessee; sister, Linda Rollins of Sarasota, Florida; other family members and a host of friends.
