Dwain was born on December 28, 1948 to Thomas Jr. and Jewell (Jaenecke) Walker in San Fernando, California. He enjoyed working at his church, being with family and friends, and he loved to fish.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sister, Shelia Wagnor of Jamestown, California; his brother, Michael Walker of Houston; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
