Weatherford: E. E. Newton, 81, formerly of Decatur, went to be with our Lord on Monday, January 12, 2009 in Weatherford.
Graveside service is 3 p.m. Wednesday, January 14th at Oaklawn Cemetery in Decatur with the Reverend Gerre Joiner officiating. Family will receive friends from 12 AM to 2 PM at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home prior to the service.
E.E. was born October 12, 1927 in Roosevelt, Oklahoma to Allen and Lela (Dickerson) Newton. He was a retired truck driver, welder and farmer. E. E. is preceded in death by his wife, Anna Laura Newton; son, Carl Newton; 2 daughters, Shirley Ann Bujan and Pamela Faye Newton; 2 great grandsons; 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Rachel Newton of Decatur; 3 daughters, Toi Bragg of Houston, Ruth Ann Caldwell of Oklahoma City, Sharon Steel of Moore, Oklahoma; son, David Newton of Tecumseh, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Charmaine Franks, Bradley Caddell, Johnny Ward, Laura Rhine, Julie Downe, Stephanie Struby, Cynthia Bragg, Ashley Smith, Henryetta and Herman Caldwell, Phillip and Chasity Maynard, and Halah, Danielle and Keymares Grolmoradi.
