Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 4, 2012 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in East Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Rev. Bill Cleveland will officiate and be assisted by Rev. Gary Sessions. Pallbearers include Taylor German, Nicky Shepherd, Micky Shepherd, David Smith, Johnie Smith, Joe Shepherd, and Whit Klein.
Earl was born on February 13, 1931 to Elzie and Grace (Kerns) German in Warrenton, Virginia. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. Earl was united in marriage to Anna Cokeley on September 27, 1948 in San Diego, California. He retired from Mitchell Energy as a plant manager then worked for Mike's Music as a manager. Earl was a member of the First Christian Church in Ames, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Raymond, Kenneth, Ralph, Dan, and Billy German; and his sisters, Evelyn Leydig, Kathleen Baker, Ruth Denny, and Elizabeth Robinson.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 63 years, Anna German of Runaway Bay; his daughters, Earlene Shepherd and husband Joe of Bridgeport, Patricia Smith and husband Johnie of Alvord; his sons, Michael L. German of Bridgeport, Mark German and wife Bettie of Chico; his grandchildren, Paula, Micky, Nicky, David, Jessica, Taylor, and Morgan; his great grandchildren, Madeline, Lindsey, and Olivia; his sister, Margaret Hall of Enid, Oklahoma; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

We are so sorry to hear about earls passing and are going to miss seeing him at the yearly reunion. He was a very nice man that we enjoyed spending time and laughs with.

I am very sadden that Uncle Earl has passed. He has always been a Angel however he will now have wings. He and Aunt Anne have always been very special to me. Lots of love, prayers and sadness for all that were lucky enough to be a part of his life!
