Graveside service is 9 a.m. Thursday at Oaklawn Cemetery with Reverend Ken May and Brother Bill Hughes officiating.
Edda was born April 15, 1925 in Decatur, Texas, to Gilbert George and Annie Frankie (Spain) Carr. She married G. H. "Bob" Arrington on November 29, 1941 in Decatur. Edda and husband, Bob, were owners of Bob & Edda's Red Wing Shoe Store in Decatur for 38 years. She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Decatur.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Ann Sims Logue of Decatur; granddaughter, KaSondra Hughes of Decatur; grandsons, David and Danny Sims of Decatur, great grandchildren, Breanne Fernihough, Russell Sims, Courtney and Chelsea Hughes; great great grandchildren, Madelyn Fernihough and Bailee Sims.
