Eddie Lea Suson

Eddie Lea Suson 89, of Boyd went to be with our Lord on Monday, March 10, 2025 in Weatherford, Texas.

Graveside Service will be 3:00 PM, Thursday March 13, 2025 at Boyd Cemetery.

Fred Raney will officiate.

Eddie was born January 21, 1936 to William and Ida Mae (Foust) Bowman in Decatur, Texas. She graduated from Boyd High School. Eddie Lea married Walter Suson November 27, 1952 in Boyd. Eddie was a homemaker and she loved to garden and especially cook. Her family says that cobbler was her specialty, she would make it perfect every time. Eddie Lea was a volunteer at Decatur hospital for many years, which explained her love of people. She was a loving daughter, wife, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her husband Walter O. Suson; parents William and Ida Mae Bowman; brothers Carl Bowman, Kelly Bowman, and Harry D. Bowman who was Eddie Lea’s twin.

Those left to cherish her memory are; her daughter Pamela Barrett; niece Hazel and husband Kenneth Gregg; grandsons Douglas A. Gregg and Mark Barrett; great grandsons, Kahne Gregg, Tyler Gregg and Jace Gregg; sister- in- law Mieko as well as extended family, and a host of friends who loved her dearly.
