Decatur ~ Eddy Lee Grundy, 63, a mechanic, went to be with our Lord Monday, May 19, 2014 in Decatur.
Graveside Service is 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2014 at Alvord Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Rev. Gary Dimmitt will officiate. Pallbearers include Trey Tow, Thomas Tow, Alan Campbell, Craig Rawle, Tom Rawle, and Paris Martin. Honorary Pallbearer is Jonathan Van Den Biggelarr.
Eddy was born on December 6, 1950 to Billy Gene and Hazel Irene (Taylor) Grundy in Decatur. He was united in marriage to Cindy Ellen Jones on November 15, 1982 in Decatur. Eddy was a mechanic for over fifty years and was a baptist.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Bobby Grundy.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 31 years, Cindy Grundy of Decatur; his son, Shawn Grundy and wife Brenda of Decatur; his daughter, Falon Grundy of Haltom City; his daughter, Nicole Grundy and husband Brandon of Decatur; his son, Phillip Grundy of Clinton, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, London Grundy, Hunter Grundy, Hadley Belle McGar and Mason Dunton; his sister, Billie Rawle of Decatur; extended family members, and a host of friends.
