Edith "Rumell" (Lisby) Culps

Paradise ~ Edith “Rumell” Lisby Morgan Pitts Culps, 85, a retired retail sales clerk, went to be with our Lord Friday, January 13, 2017 in Bridgeport.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Bible Baptist Church in Bridgeport with burial in East Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Rev. Dale Webster will officiate. Pallbearers include Steve Pitts, Cody Bryant, Jason Sanders, Quinn McDaniel, Rowdy Payton, and David Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Mark Sanders and her great grandsons.

Rumell was born on February 14, 1931 to Otho and Thelma (McDaniel) Lisby in Decatur, Texas. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church.

Rumell was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Stephen Carlos Pitts; her sister, Joan Jackson; and her brother, Bobby Neal Lisby.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Rhonda Lynn McIlroy of Bridgeport; Jayne Carol Pitts of Bridgeport, Connie Gayle Wood of Paradise; her son, Joe Daniel Morgan and wife Lenora of Mineral Wells; her grandchildren, Bryann Burton, Steve Pitts, Brandi McIlroy, Jason Sanders, Joey Dawn Harrelson, Rowdy Payton, April Smith, LaDusta Robinette, Cody Bryant, and Mark Sanders; 19 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren: her sisters, Martha Choate, Gwen Harms, Beverly Lindsey, Venita Egler, and Sue Dodgen; her brothers, Ben Lisby, Jerry Lisby, and Gerry Lisby; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
