Briar--- Edith Romine, 93, a homemaker, passed away in Decatur on Wednesday, July 30,2008.
Service: 10:30 AM Saturday, August 2, 2008 at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Chapel. Visitation: 6-8 P.M. Friday. Rev. Michael Stevenson will officiate. Pallbearers: Richard Parr , Wesley Romine, Randy Wells, Todd Romine, Arnold Burrus, Luke Romine, Brian Romine, J.R. Romine .
Edith went to be with the Lord, on July 30,2008. She was born June 19, 1915, the daughter of Noah Oscar and Grace Helena (Selby) Pursley in Foster, Oklahoma.Edith married Hugh Virgil Romine on December 18,1932 in Foster,Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, sons: Aubrey, Gene, Jimmy Ray, and Larry Romine, brothers: Lloyd, Jay Roy, Bill, Cecil and Noah Pursley, sisters: Methyl and Minnie Lee Webb, Pearl Ella Pursley.Edith was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church of McKinney.
Left behind to cherish her memory are: sons: Oscar Romine and wife Billie of Rhome, David Romine and wife Peggy of Wills Point, Bill Romine and wife Nancy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Charles Romine and wife Tressa of Rhome; Daughters, Grace Neal and husband Dave of Garland, Helen Wells of Rhome, Joyce Cardwell of Briar; Sisters, Lucille Bishop and Carolina Byrne; 27 grandchildren; 53 great grandchildren; 15 great-great Grandchildren.
