Edna Pearle Bogard, 84, a retired secretary, went to be with our Lord, Monday, October 31, 2011 in Denton, Texas.
Funeral service is 2 p.m. Thursday, November 3rd at Cornerstone Baptist Church with Reverend James Fellers officiating. Interment: Bethel Cemetery. Family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include Wayne Woolaver, Ricky Mara, Bratton Williams, Richard Mara, Shane Mara, Todd Mara,Champ Bailes and Luke Wilkinson.
Edna was born March 21, 1927 in Slidell, Texas to Jesse and Lena (Lyle) Fellers. She was united in marriage to Lenard Claude Bogard on May 22, 1953 and was married 27 years at his death in 1980. Edna is also preceded in death by her husband, sisters, Louise Kelley, Ruby Fellers, Mary Fellers, and Mildred Mara; and brothers, Jesse, Robert and Ernest Fellers.
Edna worked for Grandy's Restaurant as "Granny" for many years. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Decatur.
Left behind to cherish her memory are two sisters, Jimmie Woolaver and husband, Calvin of Decatur, Betty Bailes of Sanger; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
