Edna Sue (Strickland) Crunk

November 2, 1938 — April 17, 2021

Decatur ~ Edna Sue Crunk, 82, went to be with our Lord Saturday, April 17, 2021 in Decatur.

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 23, 2021 at Grace Baptist Church with burial at Oaklawn Cemetery in Decatur.  Family with receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home Decatur.

Dr. Van Gardner and Pastor William Brooks will officiate.  Pallbearers will include Jaime Trevino, Alex Trevino, Danny Laverty, Casey Laverty, Merrick Addington, and Greg Crunk.  Honorary Pallbearers will include Jeffery Crunk, David Paul Addington, Michael Crunk, David Crunk, Braulio Padron, Jesse Padron, Teddy Padron, Adam Padron, Colby Addington, Joseph Lutz, Millard Crunk, Ben Addington, Jake Logue, Sam Logue, and Clint Logue.

Edna was born November 2, 1938 to Perry Dolan and Edna Pauline (Fry) Strickland in Clay County, Texas.  She was united in marriage to William “Billy” D. Crunk on October 9, 1970 in Madill, Oklahoma.  Edna obtained her Associates Degree and worked as an LVN with the Denton State School.  Edna was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy D. Crunk; and her brother, Patrick Strickland

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her four sons, Jimmy Addington and wife Cindy of Decatur, Randy Crunk and wife Cindy of Bridgeport, Paul Addington and wife Beth of Decatur, and David Crunk and wife Judy of Chico; her five daughters, Tammie Lutz and husband R.J. of Jackson, Michigan, Peggy Padron and husband Placido of Decatur, Diana Knopf and husband Jack of Chico, Beverly LeRoy and husband Gary of Valley View, and Barbie Laverty and husband Gordon of Decatur; 38 grandchildren; 76 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Nancy Ennis of Decatur; her sister-in-law, Andrea Strickland of Chico, Rayleen Slimp of Boyd, Nora Van Hoose of Chico, and Barbara Brooks of Decatur; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
