Blue Mound ~ Edward (Eddie) Earl Bailey, Sr., 76, a retired welder, went to be with our Lord Friday, December 6, 2013 in Fort Worth.
Memorial service is 1 p.m. Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Boyd. Family will receive friends 12-1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
Rev. Doug Acklie will officiate.
Eddie was born on January 20, 1937 to D.B. and Vivian (Martin) Bailey in Fort Worth, Texas. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. Eddie was united in marriage to Millie Marie Gifford on September 12, 1959 in Weatherford, Texas. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 51 years, Millie Marie Bailey on February 10, 2011 and his son in law, Marlin Garrett.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters, Marlene Rachuig and husband David of Blue Mound and Rena Garrett of Aurora; his sons, Edward Bailey, Jr. and wife Kim of Arlington and Edwin Bailey of Blue Mound; his grandchildren, Jayson, Brandi, Malinda, James, Chris, Edward (Eddie) III, David and Daniel; his great grandchildren, Cade, Shane and Shyanne; his brother in law, Ray Gifford; his sister in law, Anita Bailey; other family members and a host of friends.
