RUNAWAY BAY -- Edward L. Jeffries, 79, a retired maintenance and safety supervisor for Phelps Dodge, died Saturday, June 11, 2005 in Decatur. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Wednesday at East Bridgeport Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Jeffries was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving in WWII, a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge and a Methodist. Survivors: Daughter, Tina DeLoach and husband, David of Nashville, TN; step-sons, Gerald Freeman and wife, Linda of San Antonio and Lawrence Freeman and wife, Wanda of McKinney; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, brother, John Jeffries and sisters, Estelle McDaniels, Jewel Jancavich and Edith O'Neil..
