Funeral: 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Chapel with burial in Roselawn Cemetery in Denton.

Ed was born June 20, 1927 to Fearrel and Barnetta (Pickett) Strange in Alvord. He married Elizabeth Ann Watson on November 6, 1948 in Denton. Ed was a veteran of the Navy serving during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He served as Mayor of Alvord for more than 9 years and served as City Council Member of Alvord for 3 years. Ed was founder and owner of Edsco Business Forms for over 30 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Alvord.
He was preceded in death by his son, Randy Strange; and 2 brothers, Fearrel Strange and Paul Strange.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth "Libby" Strange of Alvord; daughter, Sandra Strange of Houston; sons, Steve Strange of Alvord, Scott Strange and wife Theresa of Fort Worth; brother, Gerald Strange of Hobbs, New Mexico; sister, Doris Edwards of Bedford; granddaughters, Alysia Hickman of Atlanta, Georgia, Tiffany Saddler of Fort Worth; 2 great-granddaughters; 2 nieces; 2 nephews; other relatives and a host of friends.
