Edwina was born on August 22, 1918 to John and Merry (Frank) Goins in Bridgeport. She worked for Curtis 1000 before she retired. Edwina was united in marriage to Mark Wheeler who preceded her in death in 1990. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her son, John C. Wheeler; her brothers, Melvin and Jack Goins; and her sisters, Agnes Bates and Julia Rich.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her nephew, Richard Goins and wife Donna of Burleson; other family members; and a host of friends.
