BRIDGEPORT -- E.G. Scroggins, 77, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2006, in Bridgeport. Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Chapel. Burial: East Bridgeport Cemetery. Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Mr. Scroggins was born Jan. 8, 1929, in Davidson, Okla., to Jim and Mamie Scroggins. He graduated from Hollister, Okla. High School in 1947. He married Beryl Stribling on April 20, 1949, in Elmore City, Okla. He retired as an area manager from Mitchell Energy in 1986, after working over 30 years.
Pallbearers will be the grandsons: Colin Scroggins, Kyle Scroggins, Ian Scroggins, Cameron Scroggins, Michael Scroggins, Jr., Christopher Scroggins, ethan Scroggins, Nick Roppolo, John Critz IV.
