SAGINAW -- Elaine Lois Barnett, 80, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008 in Lewisville. Funeral: 1 p.m. Saturday at Hawkins Funeral Chapel. Burial: Chico Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Friday. Rev. Danny Howe will officiate. Pallbearers: Greg Barnett, Jr., Daniel Barnett, Joel Lowrey, and Jim Austin.
Elaine was born on November 2, 1927, the daughter of Carl and Bessie (Flowers) Lowrey in Chico. She was a retired bookkeeper at Montgomery Wards and a member of the Eastern Star of Chico.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward L. Barnett; and her brother, Gordon Lowrey.
Left behind to cherish her memory is: her son, Greg Barnett and wife Debbie of Plano; 4 grandchildren, Daniel Barnett, Greg Barnett, Jr., Angela Barnett, Melain Wielken and husband Les of Irving; 3 great grandchildren, Madeline Barnett, Parker Wielkens, Presley Wielkens; 2 nieces, Jan and Julie Lowrey; and nephew, Joel Lowrey.
