Ella Mae "Penny" (Johnson) Arn

Azle ~ Ella Mae “Penny” Arn, 83, went to be with our Lord Thursday, November 17, 2022.

Funeral is 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 5, 2022 at Boyd Church of God with burial at DFW National Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Sunday, December 4, at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.

Penny was born January 19, 1939 to Elisha and Lila Elizabeth (Smith) Johnson in Lexington, Kentucky. She was united in marriage November 4, 1956 to Franklin Dale Arn in Long Beach, California. Penny was a beloved wife for over 63 years before her husband’s passing in 2020. She was also a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elisha and Lila Johnson; her husband, Franklin Dale Arn; a brother, Virgil Johnson; a nephew, Jimmy Johnson, and a niece, Mallory Johnson.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Belinda Rose and husband, Bryan of Carson City, Nevada, and Kimberly Wilhelm and husband Steve of Germantown, Tennessee; and her son, David F. Arn of California; 7 grandchildren, Kristena Ramirez and husband Armando, Joie Arn, Lauren Arn, Jessica Arn, Bryan D. Rose, Steven Wilhelm, Jr., and Brandon Wilhelm and wife Haley; 3 great-grandchildren, Cameron McDowell, Ryan Rose, and Addison Wilhelm; extended family , and a host of friends.
