Elvin "Casey" Jones

New Castle ~ Elvin “Casey” Jones, 78, went to be with our Lord Thursday, March 16, 2023.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 20, 2023 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur with burial at Jonestown Cemetery. Family will receive friends 2-4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Pastor Cary Anderson will officiate.

Pallbearers include Paul Eudy, Kenneth Jones, Casey Donnelly, Jagger Freels, Tyler Jones, and Kenneth Jones, Jr.

Elvin was born July 22, 1944 to Henry and Elizabeth (Hanner) Jones in Decatur, Texas. He was united in marriage to Connie Jean Suter for over 52 years before her passing in 2014. Elvin was a District Deputy Grand Past Master of District 106, and a member of the Lake Worth Lodge #1410, and New Castle Lodge #1057, also a member of Young County Lodge #485 in Graham where he was a teacher and mentor, also a member of Scottish Rite, York Rite, and a Shriner. Elvin was a retired Rancher and Inspector for the City of Ft. Worth. He was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Elizabeth Jones; and his wife, Connie Jones.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his fiancé, Debbie Berry; his son, Curtis Glen Jones and wife Anisa; his daughter, Lisa Jones Donnelly and husband Mike;; grandsons, Casey Donnelly, Kenneth Jones, Cody Jones, Tyler Jones, and; his granddaughters, Danielle Donnelly, Ashley Jones, Hailey Meeks,; his great-grandchildren, Dylan Jones, Kenneth Jones, Jr., Jagger Freels, Justin Jones, Peyton Jones, and Victoria Jones; his sister Arlene McLellan and husband Jim; nephew, Bobby Bates; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
