Elza Ethleen "Elsie" Arrington

Fort Worth ~ Elza Ethleen “Elsie” Arrington, 97, went to be with our Lord Monday, July 19, 2021 in Fort Worth.

Funeral is 11 AM Tuesday at Boyd Church of Christ with burial in Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the church.

Kasey Pipes will officiate. Pallbearers are David Arrington, Jody Wilson, Jeff Arrington, Jimmy John Dean, Kerry Pipes, and Bobby Jack Jackson.

Elsie was born on September 17, 1923 to John and Sena (McCaleb) Dean in Wise County. She was united in marriage to Guinn Elwood Arrington on August 22, 1942 in Argyle. Elsie was a member at Western Hills Church of Christ in Fort Worth. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Guinn Arrington; 3 brothers, Eulas, Elvis, and Alvin Dean; her sister, Azilee Barnes; and her son-in-law, Jerry Pipes.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sue Ann Pipes of Fort Worth; her son, Joe Arrington and wife Karen of Fort Worth; 4 grandsons, Kerry Pipes and wife Beth, Kasey Pipes and wife Lacie, David Arrington and wife Christina, and Jeff Arrington; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital
