Decatur: Emily Ruth Howard, 85, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord, Saturday, June 11, 2011 in Decatur.
Graveside service is 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 14th at Pleasant Grove Cemetery No. 1 with Pastor Charles Taylor officiating. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Emily was born December 15, 1925 in Taberg, New York to Robert L. and Alice M. (Stace) Davis. She married Charles W. Howard, Sr. in Rome, New York.
Left behind to cherish her memory are two sons, Charles Howard, Jr. of Decatur, Edward Howard and wife, Jocelynn of The Phillipines; two daughters, Karen Richey of Kilgore, Texas, Elizabeth Ann Howard of Ft. Worth; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Emily is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and one sister.
