NEWARK - Emory Everett Boaldin, 81, a retired supervisor for General Dynamics, died Friday, October 26, 2012 in Decatur.
Funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 30, at Newark Church of Christ with burial in Dido Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Monday at the church.
Pallbearers include Jason Boaldin, Sean Boaldin, Sammy Wager, Nathan Boaldin, Grand Jones, and Kris Barber.
Emory was born on May 19, 1931 in Elkhart, Kansas to Emory and Helen (Neal) Boaldin. He married Myrtle Christine Massey on Christmas Eve in 1949 in Fort Worth, Texas.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Myrtle Boaldin of Newark; 3 sons, James Russell Boaldin and wife Debbie of Denton, Michael Wayne Boaldin and wife Janice of Newark, and Bobby Brent Boaldin and wife Michelle of North Little Rock, Arkansas; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sister, Dixie Cotton; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Gloria Blasingame.
