Era Dee Mcquinn

Funeral service is 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 3rd at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Charles Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include, Jerry Holland, Dale Steadham, Trey Hale, Mark Shillingburg, Mike Ramirez and Paul Chrestman.

Era Dee was born October 10, 1915 to Daniel Dee and Dessa Voss in Hopkins County, Texas. She moved to Decatur at the age of 10 with her family. She married Frank "Doc" Ford McQuinn on September 1, 1934 in Decatur, Texas. Era Dee was a member of the Family Worship Center in Decatur. In 2007, Era Dee moved to Kaufman, Texas and resided in Rose Haven Assisted Living, where she loved playing dominoes and other games with her resident friends. She was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan.

Left behind to cherish her memory are two daughters, Peggy Chrestman and husband, Lloyd of Combine, Texas and Patsy Hale and husband, Bobby of Decatur; six grandchildren, Gary Fulton, Lloyd Chrestman, Jr., Monty Hale, Aundrea Shillingburg, Brenda Grantham and Cindy Wolf; eleven great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; sister, Madaline Holland; and daughter-in-law, Laura McQuinn.

Era Dee is preceded in death by her husband in March, 1988 and son, Bobby Dee McQuinn in July, 2004.
