Rhome ~ Ernest "Ernie" William Parker, 54, passed away suddenly Saturday, August 4, 2018 in Decatur.
Memorial service is 6:30 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Boyd.
Rev. Mark Autry will officiate.
Ernie was born December 4, 1963 to William and Wally (Zimmer) Parker in Fort Knox, Kentucky. He was united in marriage on June 1, 1985 to Kristina Ann Shaffer in Fort Knox, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his father; his father-in-law, Charles Shaffer; and his brothers-in-law, Paul Tilley and Ralph Shaffer.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 33 years, Kristina Parker of Rhome; his son, Jacob Parker of Rhome; his daughter, Renee Parker of Rhome; his mother, Wally Parker of Rhome; his brother, Ken Parker of Haltom City, his mother-in-law, Elfriede Shaffer of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his sister-in-law, Monika Shaffer of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his brother-in-law, Armin Shaffer and wife Wanda of Tennessee; his sister-in-law, Sandy Tilley of Fort Worth; his niece, Briana Tilley of Fort Worth; his aunt, Dorothy Carlew of Drummonds, Tennessee; extended family; and a host of friends. Also, he leaves a void in the lives of his work family at Guaranteed Hydromulch.
