Ernestina Vargas Gonzalez

Bridgeport~ Ernestina Vargas Gonzalez, 84, went to be with our Lord on Saturday September 26, 2020 in Decatur.

Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 24, 2020 at the Gonzalez Family home in Bridgeport.

Ernestina was born on September 24, 1936 in Eagle Pass, Texas to Enricque and Virgina Duron Vargas. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Francisco Gonzalez in 1964 in Decatur, Texas. Ernestina was a homemaker who enjoyed raising and spending time with her family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Martin Gonzalez; her sisters, Martha, and Sarah Brinos; her brothers, Jose Vargas and Beto Vargas.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 56 years, Francisco Gonzalez of Bridgeport; her children, Alfonso Ariano of Ft. Worth; Rolando Gonzalez of Boyd; Maria Reyes of Saginaw; Reyes Gonzalez of Newark; Martha Vazquez of Borger; Janie Rios of Saginaw; Frank Gonzalez, Jr. of Saginaw;  20 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; her siblings, Lupa Martinez, Silvia Vargas, and Estella Sanchez; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.

Sra. Ernestina Vargas González, 84, fue con nuestro Señor el 26 de septiembre de 2020 en Decatur.

Sra. Ernestina nació el 24 de septiembre de 1936 en Eagle Pass, Texas, hija de Enrique y Virginia (Durón) Vargas. Se unió en matrimonio con el amor de su vida, Francisco González en 1964 en Decatur, Texas. Ernestina era una ama de casa que disfrutaba criando y pasando tiempo con su familia. Era una amada esposa, madre, abuela, bisabuela y tatarabuela, hermana, tía y gran amiga.

Fue precedida en la muerte por sus padres; su hijo, Martín González; sus hermanas, Martha, y Sarah Brinos; sus hermanos, José Vargas y Beto Vargas.

Los que se quedan atrás para apreciar su memoria son su esposo de 56 años, Francisco González de Bridgeport; sus hijos, Alfonso Ariano de Ft. Worth, Rolando González de Boyd, María Reyes de Saginaw, Reyes González de Newark, Martha Vázquez de Borger, Janie Ríos de Saginaw, y Frank González, Jr. de Saginaw; 20 nietos, numerosos bisnietos y tataranietos; sus hermanos, Lupa Martínez, Silvia Vargas y Estella Sánchez; numerosos miembros de la familia extendida y una gran cantidad de amigos.
