Bedford ~ Estelle Carpentier Baker, 93, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, July 16, 2023, in Bedford.
Family will receive friends 7:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 18th, 2023 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel.
Graveside Service is 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 19th, 2023 at Chico Cemetery in Chico, Texas, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. held at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport.
Billy Rhone will officiate. Pallbearers are to include Bill Baker, Jim Bob Baker, Bryan Armontrout, Ryon Rippy, Clint Baker, Troy Baker and Darren Paul.
Estelle was born on August 30, 1929, to Jesse Albert and Anis S. (Douglas) Carpentier in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was united in marriage to Bobby Joe Baker on February 6, 1948. Estelle graduated from Holy Family Catholic High School in Tulsa and attended TCC in Hurst. She was a mother to three children, Donna, Bill and Jim Bob. Estelle was a homemaker and worked with many groups in the community including: PTA, Hurst Lady Lions, Cub Scouts Den Mother. She was an advisor for Tri-Hi-Y and Rainbow Girls, she was a member of Sand Flat Arts Guild. Estelle served as Worthy Matron in Hurst and Chico chapters, Order of the Eastern Star. Her favorite hobbies included ceramics and crochet. Estelle was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and a friend to many who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Albert, and Lois Carpentier, and Anis S. Douglas; her husband, Bobby Joe Baker; her brothers, Jesse A. Carpentier and James Carpentier.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Mike and Donna Paul, Bill and Malia Baker, and Jim Bob and Julie Baker; her grandchildren, Michael and Darren Paul, Clinton Baker, Jaclyn and Brian Armontrout, Troy, Allison, and Tracey Baker; her great-grandchildren, Natalie, Kaitlyn, Murphy and Baker Armontrout, Chance Dalton, Roxie and Terin Rippy, and Ryder Hardee; her sisters, Katherine Kidwell and Evelyn McPherson; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
