Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Rock Prairie Cemetery. No set visitation.

Rev. Ken May and Rev. Gerre Joiner will officiate.

Esther was born on June 19, 1917 to James and Nancy (Brewster) Akin in Madison County, Texas. She was united in marriage to Otis Bolton in 1939 in Madison County. Esther retired from Texas A & M University where she worked as the Student Services Supervisor. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Decatur.

Esther was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Bolton.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Patsy Ford of Decatur; her son, Doug Bolton of Decatur; her grandsons, Rusty Ford and wife Johna of Paradise and Chad Bolton of College Station; her granddaughter, Chrystal Hulson and husband Ron of Post; 5 great grandchildren; her sister, Bess Maddox of Bryan; several nieces and a host of friends.

My heartfelt condolences to Patsy, Doug and the many loving family members and friends of Mrs. Bolton. She was the most wonderful, kind and loving person I have ever met in my life. I feel so blessed to have known her and her husband Otis, they both influenced my life in so many positive ways. Mrs. Bolton had such a kind spirit, and her sense of fun and bright sense of humor always put a smile on my face every time I had the good fortune to see her. Now that her journey on earth is complete, I know that they are rejoicing in Heaven, and she is resting in her saviors arms. May she rest in Peace, and enjoy her eternal reunion with her loving husband. I will miss her dearly.
