Etta Mae Fluker

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 23rd at the First Baptist Church of Decatur with Rev. Ken May officiating. Interment: Cottonwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Brian Dooling, Brent Payton, Randy Slimp, Timothy Slimp, Louis Dooling and Kendall Payton.

Etta was born September 6, 1928 in Corsicana, Texas to Tarrant and Myrtle Mae (King) Gilliam. She was united in marriage to Finis Eugene Fluker on March 11, 1946 at the First Baptist Church in Corsicana, Texas. Etta received her Master's in education at Western State in Gunnison, Colorado.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 67 years, Gene Fluker of Decatur; daughter, Margaret Dooling and husband Louis of Decatur; three grandchildren, Georgetta Slimp and husband Randy of Decatur, Katie Payton and husband Brent of San Antonio, and Brian Dooling and wife Tina of Victoria; seven great-grandchildren, Amelia, Timothy, Courtney, Kendall, Ashlee, Kohltyn and Tristin; 1 great-great-granddaughter, Emma Alexis; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Etta was preceded in death by her son, Tarrant Eugene Fluker and one brother.
