Eugene "Red" Wood

Rhome ~ Eugene “Red” Wood, 76, went to be with our Lord Thursday, August 13, 2020.

Memorial Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2020 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Red was born June 22, 1944 to Calvin and L. Margaret (Young) Wood in Bowie, Texas. He graduated from Decatur High School and was self-employed as a Farrier and Rancher.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and L. Margaret Wood; his brothers, Jimmy Noel Wood; his grandfather, John Farley Young; his grandmother, Effie Dulsa (Brown) Young; his uncles, Bill Young and Joe Young; his aunts, Shirley (Young) Hayes and Emma Lee (Young) Hill.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Erin Wood of Haltom City; his sister, Sue Winn of Midlothian; his brother, Ricky Dean Wood and wife Debbie of Midlothian; his nephews, Charlie Joe Winn, Ronny Eugene Winn, Tony Wayde Wood, and Erick Wood; his nieces, Christi Weast and Britani Linsay; numerous extended family and a host of friends.
